Earlier In the week, as per a press release, NCR, a payments technology company based out of Atlanta officially acquired Texas P.O.S, a provider of point-of-sale (POS) solutions for restaurants and merchants based out of Houston.
As per reports, this move by NCR is an attempt by the company to further expand into the hospitality business.
According to the press release, following the acquisition, the management department of Texas P.O.S. will stay with NCR, and so will the staff. Currently, NCR has 15 offices in the U.S., and three of those are in Texas
Michael D. Hayford, NCR President, and CEO believes that the acquisition will benefit NCR customers and complement the firm’s services.
Speaking on the acquisition, Hayford said, “Everything we do is guided by our principle to put the customer first. We quickly discovered a team immersed in the local community, when Texas P.O.S initially discussed the possibility of combining forces in Houston.”
The president and CEO of NCR further added, “Our customers in the area will be delighted by the expanded set of services we can provide.”
Brian Choate, Texas P.O.S. Founder, and President said he is delighted to join NCR.
In a statement, Choate said, “After 26 years of growing this business, I’m proud of what we’ve built here, It’s time to take the next step for our clients, and I couldn’t be happier with the partnership and the process.”
