Earlier in the week, on Monday, May 6th, Qlik, Data analytics, and business intelligence platform made an announcement stating the appointment of Geoff Thomas as the Senior Vice President to head its Asia-Pacific (APAC) business.
As per the statement published by the company, Thomas designation will see him supervising after Qlik’s business, growth and operations along with execution with channel partners and strengthening Qlik’s go-to-market strategy.
Speaking on his appointment, Geoff Thomas said, “I’m excited about the opportunity to expand Qlik’s business in this diverse market and region. With our investments into the region and strong execution, I believe we can bring Qlik to even greater heights.”
As per reports, in his previous job roles, Thomas has held key positions with companies including Microsoft, Juniper Networks and Polycom with his most recent designation being the Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan at OneLogin.
Speaking on the appointment, Christopher Jones, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Qlik said, “We’re confident Geoff will fully leverage the market opportunity, and I look forward to working closely with him and the team to help customers realize and unlock the full value of data.”
Qlik also further revealed that as per a report published by research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), the revenues for big data and business analytics (BDA) solutions is predicted to reach $27 billion by 2022 in the Asia-Pacific region.
